Teen Top returns with another title song called "장난아냐 (Rocking)" taken from their latest mini-album entitled "Teen Top Class" which was released on August 26th, 2013. Being a fun group that they definitely are, Teen Top manage to capture the hearts of their Angels and in turn, received an impressive reaction.
Unlike my previous review which was on BEAST and it was an elaborated one, my review on this particular comeback of Teen Top's would be slightly shorter as this song really is a fun one and I need get too deep about it. The video opens with an apparent conflict between maknae Changjo and rapper L. Joe but the plot was not further developed as the video continues except for a few shots of them getting into some sort of a fight so I chose to just enjoy their music without so much of a second thought.
In the video, I have to admit both Changjo and leader C.A.P caught my attention the most. Changjo, despite being the youngest, look even manlier this time round although I was rather surprised for the lack of lines since his vocals is quite impressive. This goes for Chunji as well whose lines were rather drowned but I have to admit, his pretty face is not something one can easily miss. C.A.P with his blonde hair (which was given blue highlights in the video) really is a good look on him - or maybe I was just captivated by his shirtless state, you all will never know. That shorts he wore in the video was a sad mistake though, I cannot emphasise oTo me a redhead L. Joe does suit him in a way because personally I do believe he can pull of any look unlike Niel whose hair was purple. He looks decent but that was just how far it could go. What I feel rather sad about was the fact that Ricky barely had any lines at all and that somehow upsets me knowing how much of a darling he is.
Apart from the visible transformations, the song itself really is upbeat and super catchy. The song in depth tells a story of a ridiculous relationship in which a couple gets into fights and make-ups countless times that it began to be a sickening routine. This song is basically a big question mark for the girl who apparently is claimed to be the cause of all this but then again, we do not know the whole story do we? Except that their relationship is "not a joke."
"Every single day, we hate on each other
It seems like we can’t live if we don’t attack each other
Whose fault is it that we’re this way?"
All in all, it was a rather splendid comeback for their part and for their Angels' part, the support I have been seeing is amazing. This goes out to one of the most subtle and yet strong fan bases in K-Pop history and also for the boys, congratulations and a job well done!
