ChoColat (pronounced Sho-Kol-Ah) has come back again with their latest single and music video "Black Tinkerbell" after almost 2 years of being totally silent as if they have been on a hiatus. No clarification on that matter though. Putting that aside, the new genre of their music seemed to have evolved from fun - "Syndrome" & "I Like That" to a mature one which started from their previous single "One More Day," although "Black Tinkerbell" is inclining to what seemed like a dark side of the group.
What I think of the video is simply sexy and this time round the make-up is not over the top - each and every member stand out perfectly unlike in all their other videos where Tia is always under the spotlight. To me though, the one who stood out the most throughout the video was Juliane - her new hairstyle complements all her best features especially her eyes and I think I have a new favourite.
What is it about? The music video tells a story of Tinkerbell's alter ego who wishes to be with her Peterpan but simply could not because she was always just a fairy. So little and insignificant compared to the beautiful woman he has fallen in love with. The bitter part of the whole thing was that she "can't leave" because at least to Peter, she was always needed. ChoColat has added the traditional dancing-in-the-rain scene where their choreography stands out perfectly.
