Original track: Born Sinner by J. Cole
First of all, this is not a song review mainly because I just want to throw this song out there for you all to give it a listen. Bangtan Boys (BTS) or also known as Bulletproof Boy Scouts released this song at 12AM KST (July 12th) in conjunction with their very first month after their debut - a remake of J. Cole's "Born Sinner."
I have to admit that I am extremely impressed by their boldness as a rookie group as if they have been in the industry for years. Their stage presence is really amazing as if they have been performing all their lives - for a few members, maybe that is indeed the truth. It is even more interesting seeing as they are really quite young to be composing songs and writing their own lyrics as their past time - the youngest is still 16 years old, the respective main vocalist Jeon Jungkook.
They garnered enough attention from both local and international fans making their fan base all the more stronger despite being a group who is just a month old in the K-Pop industry today. They attracted such a wide audience because of their noble goal as entertainers: to try to protect the youths by making their voices heard through their songs which include to warn adults about the inevitability of suicides, bullying and many other sensitive teenage issues. At the same time trying to convey that together maybe we could put a stop to it. Finally something new was brought to the table.
I can see this group going really far and I certainly hope that they would. Years from now, I would like to see them staying modest about their music but at the same time still trying their hardest to prove the worthiness of their effort to make our voices heard. Bangtan Boys (Bulletproof Boy Scouts), good luck!
Give this mixtape a listen and I promise you will not regret it.
